Gonna try to bring home Tame Impala’s Live Record, The Ghost Buster Theme Song on glow in the dark 7inch vinyl, The Unplugged Session from R.E.M., a NOFX record or two, The Woodkid 7inch, Cave In’s Jupiter and a few others to yeah I really gotta keep my pockets sealed… but this was on the clearence bin for 10bucks sealed and you don’t find much cheaper than that in Switzerland so…

Dropped by a nice little record shop in Lausanne yesterday called Disc - A - Brac and found two nice little additions to my collection for a nice price.
Young MC - Stone Cold Rhymin, anyone growing up in the 90’s should remember the song BUST A MOVE, well this is where it’s taken from. HipHop was so much cooler and funner back then…

and after I gonna give Rated X (R) by Queens Of The Stone Age a spin.
I also have a love / hate relationship with this band. I Love everything they put out and hate that there isn’t more…
Oh and for the “sensible” people, don’t venture into the gatefold or you might feel offended….

So I kicked off the day with Absolution by MUSE.
Muse is a band that I have a love/hate relationship with… but it’s quite simple.
I love their first three records, the fourth is OK, and from there on I don’t even know how many they’ve put out but I dislike them all… it kinda sounds too much like a modern day Queen and I never liked Queen so there you go. I guess I’m true to my tastes hehe

Turbo Lento by Linda Martini.
Their latest record sees the band return a bit to their “ambient” / “experimental” ways but keeping what they did on Casa Ocupada in mind so the result is quite amazing. A very enjoyable listen and the packaging is fantastic. Gatefold with some really nice artwork and the record itself is an opaque transparent-y vinyl that looks great.

Casa Ocupada by Linda Martini.
a less “ambient” and more “song” structure approach on this album with their punk influences really shinning through and the result is my favorite LM record. The lyrics are top notch as always but it helps to understand portuguese.

Albums I’ve been spinning the first week of April _
and the last one for today: Dirty Beaches - Badlands
This album is sonically one of the most unique records I have in my collection.
It’s quite disturbing and that’s what I like most about it. It feels like 50’s rock n roll made for a horror movie and recorded in the laundry mat of a suburban neighborhood with roaches running aound and a bearded old man with a glass eye giving you the quarters. and a flickering red neon sign in the window… yeah something like that.

Andre Brasseur - Special Orgue Hammond. This is just weird, cool, funky stuff that is really good. Plenty of nice breaks on this also. I’m not a hip hop head nor a sample chaser but I think this could be interesting for those guys…
