A Record I really enjoyed when it came out and finally came across it on vinyl and couln’t resist. I thought it more cause of nostalgia but when I listened to it again at home, I was amazed at how well it has aged and how it still is a fantastic and generous listen.
I recall buying this, on CD, while I was in the U.S. and putting it on while going on drives with my uncle and drinking French Vanilla Iced Coffees from Dunkin Donuts. Ahhh miss those days.

I usually post the covers of my records but on this particular album I am showing the back. It shows an original drawing and autograph by the artist Sandra Nkake limited to 300. I have 266. Special limited edition Record Store Day France. Really nice packaging.

The Batlle Of L.A. - Rage Against The Machine
This band did no wrong in their existence. Good thing they called it quits before they started to degenerate and left us with nothing but fantastic music. Highlight - War Within A Breath. funny how “updated” or “comtemporary” that song still is, especially with what’s happening in Ukraine at the moment…

and the other record found yesterday on the verge of Record Store Day was Thursday - No Devolucion.
I could havepicked up another two or three but gotta keep some cash handy for the RSD this Saturday. Gonna try to bring home Tame Impala’s Live Record, The Ghost Buster Theme Song on glow in the dark 7inch vinyl, The Unplugged Session from R.E.M., a NOFX record or two, The Woodkid 7inch, Cave In’s Jupiter and a few others to yeah I really gotta keep my pockets sealed… but this was on the clearence bin for 10bucks sealed and you don’t find much cheaper than that in Switzerland so…

Dropped by a nice little record shop in Lausanne yesterday called Disc - A - Brac and found two nice little additions to my collection for a nice price.
Young MC - Stone Cold Rhymin, anyone growing up in the 90’s should remember the song BUST A MOVE, well this is where it’s taken from. HipHop was so much cooler and funner back then…

and after I gonna give Rated X (R) by Queens Of The Stone Age a spin.
I also have a love / hate relationship with this band. I Love everything they put out and hate that there isn’t more…
Oh and for the “sensible” people, don’t venture into the gatefold or you might feel offended….

So I kicked off the day with Absolution by MUSE.
Muse is a band that I have a love/hate relationship with… but it’s quite simple.
I love their first three records, the fourth is OK, and from there on I don’t even know how many they’ve put out but I dislike them all… it kinda sounds too much like a modern day Queen and I never liked Queen so there you go. I guess I’m true to my tastes hehe

Turbo Lento by Linda Martini.
Their latest record sees the band return a bit to their “ambient” / “experimental” ways but keeping what they did on Casa Ocupada in mind so the result is quite amazing. A very enjoyable listen and the packaging is fantastic. Gatefold with some really nice artwork and the record itself is an opaque transparent-y vinyl that looks great.
